Dubai, 20 February 2018: DIFF’s innovative cinema showcase, DIFF365@VOX Cinemas powered by du, is rolling out the red carpet this month to showcase a selection of Oscar® nominated films ahead of The 90th Academy Awards®, the biggest night in the film calendar.

With Oscar® fever raging, DIFF365@VOX Cinemas has lined up an acclaimed collection of releases including Pixar’s latest dazzling masterpiece ‘Coco’, from directors Adrian Molina and Lee Unkrich. Nominated for Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song (‘Remember Me’) Disney/Pixar’s vibrant tale of family, fun and adventure follows aspiring young musician named Miguel (voice of newcomer Anthony Gonzalez) as he embarks on an extraordinary journey to the magical land of his ancestors. Overflowing with love, colour, poignancy, humour and music, ‘Coco’ is a journey of a lifetime for the whole family not to be missed!

DIFF365@VOX Cinemas also presents ‘The Big Sick’, the Academy Award® nominee for Best Screenplay, the heart-warming, comedy from producer Judd Apatow (Bridesmaids and Trainwreck). ‘The Big Sick’ is based on the real-life courtship between Pakistan-born comedian Kumail Nanjiani (Nanjiani) and grad student Emily Gordon (Zoe Kazan) who fall in love but struggle while dealing with Emily's mysterious illness and their families’ culture clash.

Warm, winning and gloriously alive, Sean Baker’s ‘The Florida Project’ lights up DIFF365@VOX as a deeply moving and unforgettably poignant look at childhood. The glorious and gorgeous triumph tells the story of a precocious six year-old and her ragtag group of friends whose summer break is filled with childhood wonder, possibility and a sense of adventure while the adults around them struggle with hard times. Willem Dafoe delivers the performance of his career, which has snagged him his third Oscar® nomination in the Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture category.

The world's first fully painted feature ‘Loving Vincent’, directed by Dorota Kobiela and Hugh Welchman, completes the lineup at DIFF365@VOX. This feature-length beautifully painted animation is the first film of its kind explores the life and unusual death of Vincent Van Gogh via depictions of his artworks. The animated work of art has also been nominated for Best Animated Feature.

All four Oscar® nominated films will screen at DIFF365@VOX Cinemas at the dedicated theatre (Cinema 9) at VOX Cinemas, Mall of the Emirates in Dubai from 22 – 28 February, 2018. Tickets are available online at the VOX website, and at the box office at VOX Cinemas, Mall of the Emirates.
