Bollywood comes to Dubai with the World Premiere of Befikre

When Bollywood’s Ranveer Singh strided in to today’s press junket he’d clearly paid a lot of attention to his look. Donning an electric blue fitted suit; a vivid black and white striped tie; square, mirrored glasses; shiny black patent leather shoes; a pristinely manicured beard and perfectly pointy moustache, he was clearly out to turn heads.
His co-star, the striking Vaani Kapoor, on the other hand stood out effortlessly, wearing a stylish oyster coloured above-the-knee flared collared dress and gold-studded sandals. She looked stunning.
The pair were constantly surrounded by an entourage of press and photographers, all of whom got exactly what they wanted - and more. The stars were both incredibly accommodating, giving a string of animated interviews, posing for selfies and even giving one film crew a demonstration of the dance moves that their film, Befikre, will become renowned once it has made its world premiere tonight at 7pm at the Madinat Arena, home to DIFF 2016.
Befikre is story for ‘those who dare to love’? It’s feisty, exciting, young and most definitely fun. In true Bollywood style, it’ll have you toe tapping, hip swaying and signing up for dance (or fitness) classes as soon as you leave the theatre.
It’s set in Paris – the obvious city for love. But this is about carefree love, you know the love that comes with no commitment? Yet, we all know that love like this soon turns to the real thing.
