Vital partnership has enabled the Festival to flourish and evolve since its 2004 inception

Dubai, 04 December 2016: The Dubai International Film Festival (DIFF) is delighted to announce the official line-up of its 2016 sponsors who play a fundamental role in bringing the 13th edition of the Festival to life. This year’s local and international sponsors include: prominent media outlets ARN, CNN, Zee Cinema, Zee Aflam, Gulf News, OSN and Sky News Arabia; luxury car manufacturer BMW; Dubai Airports; events and advertising agencies Areeka Event Rentals, H2Q and Hills Advertising; popular global cosmetics company Make Up For Ever; online social networking service Twitter; and DIFF’s technology sponsor, Samsung.

DIFF continues growing in international stature due to the incredible contributions from its sponsors and has once again been ranked by Conde Nast as one of the world’s top ten festivals. Playing a fundamental role in the evolution of the Festival, Dubai Airports will welcome international visitors to the city with their renowned Emirati hospitality, whilst for the sixth year, BMW will supply stars with luxurious transportation to a variety of exclusive events from 7th – 14th December.

Ensuring the latest news is accessible to audiences across the globe, the exciting Festival events will be broadcast by renowned channel CNN, alongside the region’s leading pay-TV network OSN, Arabic news and current affairs channel Sky News Arabia, as well as Zee Cinema and Zee Aflam, the popular South Asian media and entertainment company. ARN’s 9 radio stations with over 3 million daily listeners will be broadcasting live from the festivaland Gulf News will also continue to provide fundamental support in keeping the local community up to date with the latest information and unmissable Festival moments.

Used as a platform for movie fanatics across the globe to come together and share their passion for the cinema, social media has become one of the best ways to follow the film industry and find out more about the movies people love. This year DIFF has forged a partnership with Twitter which enables fans to get closer to the Festival action than ever before through various on ground activations, including live streaming on Periscope for celebrity Q+As and behind the scenes access to the Festival magic.

Recognised as one of the Middle East’s premiere outdoor advertising organizations, Hills Advertising will help raise awareness of the Festival as a definitive platform for Arab filmmakers and talents to showcase their works to audiences across the world by providing unique and creative media solutions.

Areeka Event Rentals play a key role in maintaining the Festival’s status by scouting out some of the most awe-inspiring venues across the city to delight both festival attendees and celebrities, whilst H2Q, the Festival’s event management partner will also be working hard to perfect each and every detail to ensure DIFF provides an unparalleled and memorable experience for everyone.

As a distinguished brand for makeup artists and the brand to suit every style, MAKE UP FOR EVER continues its support as the Festival’s official makeup partner for the third consecutive year. Working backstage to provide professional services worthy of the Festival spotlight, MAKE UP FOR EVER helps enhance the glamour of the red carpet and spreads dazzling looks throughout the Festival.

Sharing DIFF’s commitment to identifying and nurturing creative talent from the Emirates, Samsung Gulf Electronics will be running their third annual ‘Samsung SHRT Film Contest’. By providing crucial opportunities for talented individuals to showcase their short films at the Short Film Corner at the Cannes Film Festival, the programme continues to support the ambitions of young filmmakers.

The 13th edition of DIFF will see films screened over eight days at the Madinat Jumeirah Arena, Madinat Theatre, Souk Madinat Jumeirah and VOX Cinemas, Mall of the Emirates and THE BEACH – opposite JBR. Cinemagoers will be able to buy tickets from the DIFF box office, which is now open www.dubaifilmfest.com and at the box office at VOX Cinemas Mall of the Emirates. Tickets will also be available from the Madinat Arena, Madinat Jumeirah from Tuesday, December 6th and from the Madinat Theatre, Souk Madinat Jumeirah on Wednesday, 7th December.
