Dubai, 29 November 2016: The Dubai International Film Festival (DIFF) is honoured to announce that its Enjaaz programme has supported 11 extraordinary films that will screen at the 13th edition which runs from 7-14 December, 2016 at the Madinat Jumeriah, home of DIFF. Enjaaz is a post-production support programme that was established to help emerging regional talent finalise their works and bring their projects to screens and audiences. Since its inception, over 120 films have benefited from the fundamental support provided by Enjaaz.

Part of the Dubai Film Market at DIFF since 2007, Enjaaz has played an important role in supporting regional filmmakers with their productions, both during and post-production. It has become an integral driving force behind the growth of cinema in the region. The exceptional line-up this year includes:

Masoud Amralla Al Ali, DIFF’s Artistic Director, said: “Enjaaz continues to be a crucial component to the Film Market and to DIFF, as well as to the regional film industry. As the region is witnessing an exciting increase in young budding filmmakers and established directors attempting to push cinematic boundaries by producing bold, compelling projects, we take great pride in being part of their journey to success regionally and globally. Proudly investing in the production and showcasing of this years selected films, I would like to wish each director the very best and no doubt look forward to seeing more of their work in the future as they continue to ensure the Middle East is placed firmly on the cinematic map.”
