The film takes place in a mountainous area in the UAE and is the tale of two middle-aged friends. One of the friends is light-skinned and sells tobacco. The other is dark-skinned and sells coal. The film revolves around three main aspects: the old story mentioned in an implicit manner and a love story between two friends representing the present and bringing us closer to the idea of racism in the tug and pull between love and despair together. The final aspect is the characters of the two boys in the story where we realise the continuum of time and the story continues with them and may never end.
