Po Strništi Bos (Barefoot)
A bittersweet coming of age story, ‘Barefoot’ has at its core, the endearing and adorable Eda, an eight-year-old boy in wartime Prague. When his parents refuse to collaborate with invading Nazis, they flee to the countryside, where their cossetted son begins to learn the realities of life. Eda has always known he is in the shadow of his older brother, who died in babyhood and dealing with this latent trauma, his anxious parents’ over-protectiveness and the trauma of war have all exerted an emotional toll. But life, in its mysterious ways, begins to become surprising in unexpected ways.
