Will Smith stars as Howard Inlet, a successful New York advertising exec whose life is in ruins after a tragedy. He retreats from life despite the best attempts of friends to help him, and bizarrely starts to write letters to ‘Love’, ‘Time’ and ‘Death’… Even more bizarrely he starts to get responses, and so begins his personal journey back to life as he comes to understand how loss can offer emotional insight. The top-notch cast also features Keira Knightley as ‘Love’, Jacob Latimore as ‘Time’ and Helen Mirren as ‘Death’, and also includes Edward Norton, Naomie Harris and Kate Winslet.
