Home Sweet Home
The director Nadine Naous returns to Lebanon, her homeland, when her father, who is the principal of a progressive school in south Beirut, faces financial difficulties. The family home becomes the venue for frequent discussions that are lively and humorous. From these debates, we gather the recent history of the country and the way political change has irreversibly transformed society.
“I heard the loss. I reeled. I’ve always been the daughter of the principal of The Lebanese Rabia school and I do not imagine it otherwise. I decided to go back home.”
