Rabih, a young blind man, lives in a village in Lebanon. To make ends meet, he sings in a choir and edits Braille documents. His life unravels when he tries to apply for a passport and discovers that his identification card is forged. Travelling across rural Lebanon in search of his birth certificate, he meets people on the far fringes of society with their own stories that prompt questions and offer Rabih small clues about his real identity. Descending into a void at the heart of his existence, Rabih encounters a nation incapable of presenting its own narrative.
