Dubai, UAE; December 10, 2011: The role of political campaigns, public relations imagery and pop videos in shaping the recent history and identity of Lebanon will be on spotlight on Sunday (December 11, 2011) at the eighth Dubai International Film Festival, held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President & Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.
With the world premiere of It’s All in Lebanon, DIFF offers the opportunity for all those who are involved in politics, advertising, public relations and the media to engage in a meaningful and constructive dialogue on the nation-building of Lebanon. Setting the stage for dialogue on the link between media and shaping the national identity, the discussion could serve as an eye-opener to examine the impact of media and politics on each other.
Audiences can interact with the director Wissam Charaf and the crew after the screening of the movie at 4.30 pm at Mall of the Emirates Vox Cinemas 12 on Sunday. It’s All in Lebanon is a must-watch for all those who are interested in learning about how the country has fared in nation-building, through image-making, over the 20 years since the Civil War ended.
