DIFF’s Annual Career Fair to be held on Thursday, 12th September at the Meydan IMAX Theatre, home to the largest cinema screen in the region

This December, Dubai International Film Festival (DIFF) will celebrate 10 years of cinema as they embark on the decennial edition of the Festival. From 6th December to the 14th, DIFF will bring together filmmakers, industry professionals, leading film talent and media to further cement their reputation as an innovative, exciting and world-class international film festival.

With plans well underway to deliver a 10th edition of DIFF that films fans will never forget the Festival is looking for hard-working, enthusiastic UAE residents and nationals to join the team and will be holding their Annual Careers Fair on Thursday, September 12th at the Meydan IMAX Theatre from 10 am through to 7 pm.

Sarah Adam, who was employed in the role of PR Executive last year said: “The Festival was a truly unique and rewarding experience that allowed me to come into contact with industry professionals, journalists and celebrities from around the world. It was an intense learning curve that allowed me to gain experience, confidence and meet new friends.” 

Georgina Shorter who worked for the Dubai Film Market, the business hub of the Festival said: “This will be my third year with DIFF and every year my responsibilities have increased allowing me to develop my role and learn more. The job is so varied and I get to work with filmmakers and industry experts on a wide range of events during the Festival.  It’s great to be part of a team that shares the passion I have for film, I’m really looking forward to returning and celebrating DIFF’s 10th year.”

The Festival’s Annual Career Fair, which showcases an array of short-term vacancies across DIFF operations from front of stage to back office, will be held from 10 am to 7 pm on Thursday, September 12, at the Meydan in the IMAX Theatre. 

In previous years, more than 400 temporary staff have joined the Festival annually, in roles from registration to red carpet and hospitality to marketing. The Career Fair is an opportunity for candidates to gain a more in-depth understanding of the Festival and its needs, and meet and interview with DIFF teams.
All Career Fair applicants must be over 21 years of age, UAE nationals or residents of the UAE and can register online by completing the Festival job application which can be found on the DIFF website

Essential qualifications include a can-do attitude, team spirit, a level head and flexible schedule – short-listed candidates will receive in-depth training.
