Dubai International Film Festival Partners with Hollywood Reporter

Dubai, October 16, 2007 – The Dubai International Film Festival (DIFF) today announced a publishing deal between The Hollywood Reporter, the prestigious international film trade news source, and Gulf News, to produce the DIFF Daily, the official publication of the Dubai International Film Festival.
The DIFF Daily will provide festival participants with daily international and market news from December 9 to 16, 2007. Under the terms of the agreement, The Reporter will supply international industry news and editorial content, while Gulf News will deliver articles, interviews and discussions revolving around local and regional film talent.
Abdulhamid Juma, Chairman of DIFF, said: “Partnering with the Reporter, a prestigious film trade news publication, is an achievement for DIFF. Our Industry Office will be very active this year, and the Reporter will keep international readers informed as to important industry news generated at DIFF. Since DIFF unites filmmakers, producers and industry heads from the major filmmaking centers of the world, the relationships formed here promise to be innovative, resulting in fresh ideas and a meeting of cultures and minds.”
