DIFF opens Tomorrow

The third annual Dubai International Film Festival (DIFF) opens tomorrow, Sunday, December 10, with a burst of excitement and glamour. Proceedings will take place in the presence of their Highnesses Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed al Maktoum and Prince Albert the Second of Monaco.

The red carpet at the Madinat Arena will see some of the entertainment world’s biggest celebrities, making VIP attendance at this year’s festival the highest yet. Laurence Fishburne, Joshua Jackson, and Diane Kruger, are some of the Hollywood representatives that will shine at the extravaganza; the who’s who from the Arab world include Mona Zaki, Hind Sabri, Mervat Amine, Mahmoud Abdul Aziz, Ahmed Helmi and Ahmed Bider. Bollywood will offer the likes of the legendary Shah Rukh Khan and heartthrob John Abraham. 

For eight days, Dubai cinephiles will have the best of international cinema at their fingertips, from short films to documentaries to features from every corner of the earth. International hits in the Oscar running are side-by-side with debut features. 

The festival also features a number of panels with distinguished industry figures, offering a behind-the-scenes view of the film industry.
