Abdulhamid Juma Appointed Chairman of Dubai International Film Festival

Dubai International Film Festival (DIFF) today announced the appointment of Abdulhamid Juma, Deputy Director General, Dubai Technology and Media Free Zone Authority as the Chairman of DIFF. In his new capacity, Juma will oversee the operations of the film festival and facilitate its growth as the region’s leading international Arab film festival.
“DIFF is poised for an exciting era of growth as it continues to evolve into a leading festival that not only celebrates excellence in Arab cinema but also fosters the development of the local and regional film industries,” Juma said.
“I am honoured to be involved in the continuous evolution of DIFF under the patronage of H.H Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, Ruler of Dubai and the Honorary Chairmanship of H.H Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Civil Aviation Authority and Chairman of the Emirates Group.” Dubai International Film Festival 2006 will be held from 10-17 December.
