Last night was proof that DIFF is all about putting on a show – on and off the screen.
Last night’s red carpet doubled up as a catwalk, with some of the region’s most innovative and inspiring designers showcasing their most lavish and cutting edge work. As part of a collaboration between Dubai Design District (d3) and the Festival, the evening was a tribute to the emirate’s fashion platform - Fashion Forward.
In a symphony of style and creativity, models swept gracefully along river of red to a media barrage of flashing cameras.
Striking a chord with the fashion elite was work by Furne One, the creator of the Amato brand; the Manila-born designer, Ezra, with his couture trademark; the inimitable style of Lebanese designer Hussein Bazara loved by the Arab glitterati; the ‘Asian Couturier Extraordinaire’ Michael Cinco; and from home shores, the Emirati designer Zareena.
The crowds were wowed by glorious gowns, elegant cuts and the finest of fabrics, proving that Dubai is a hub for creativity and that DIFF is clearly the week to embrace art in every form.
