INSIDE

Synopsis

In this clever adaptation of Fyodor Dostoyevsky’s “Notes from Underground”, INSIDE transposes the action to contemporary Ankara. Muharrem (played by a crackling Engin Günaydın) pressgangs his old friends into inviting him to dinner; no matter that their relationship is governed by mututal hatred and resentment. The dinner starts off with trivial shows of bravado but tumbles out into an ugly showdown. Although his 'friends' are together and he’s on his own, Muharrem has made up his mind: a cleansing must take place.
