Synopsis
When a film crew arrives in a small village in the mountains to shoot a zombie movie, a 60-year-old lumberjack and a 25-year-old first-time film director strike up an unlikely friendship. Directed with a warm, lighthearted touch by Shuichi Okita, and starring one of Japan’s most acclaimed actors, Koji Yakusho ("Babel"), as well as one of its rising stars, Shun Oguri ("Crows Zero"), "The Woodsman and the Rain" is an inspiring and often comical portrait of two men—and two communities—finding in each other a renewed sense of joy in life.
