This story of a film shoot in Tunisia follows three characters. Nouri, the middle-aged director, is torn between his disintegrating private life and the film he is afraid of making, because he cannot see an ending. The actor, Lotfi, who initially accepted the principle of ignoring the fate of his character - Bahta, a dancer - feels that he is being manipulated, on discovering that Bahta becomes a fundamentalist. Afraid of the stakes this role carries, Lofti refuses to go on. Finally, Bahta, who sees his plan to leave for Europe fall short because of the Iraq war. He ends up in the hands of a fishy predicator who brainwashes him. The film is shot between Radès and La Goulette in 2003, just as the American army invades Iraq. All the characters feel humiliated, wounded to the core by this war. The spectre of 9/11 floats over them. For Nouri, the only way out is to exorcise all this through fiction. Will they manage to finish the film?
