SILENT

Synopsis

1984, Zeynep, who lives in Diyarbakir with her three children, wants to visit her husband in prison. Fluent only in Kurdish, she is unable to utter a word in the prison, where only Turkish may be spoken. To add to her woes, she wants to give her husband a new pair of shoes, but prisoners may not accept anything from the outside world…
