HYDE PARK ON HUDSON
Synopsis
Based on a treasure trove of long hidden diaries and letters, HYDE PARK ON HUDSON is a highly amusing and wryly entertaining exploration of the all-too-human side of one of history’s iconic leaders. June 1939: President Franklin Delano Roosevelt readies to host the King and Queen of England – marking the first-ever visit of a reigning British monarch to America who is looking to FDR for US support in the looming war. But realpolitik must be juggled with FDR’s somewhat unusual domestic arrangements. As seen and recorded by Daisy, FDR's neighbour and distant cousin, a special relationship is built between two nations (hot dogs and all). Bill Murray provides the performance of his life as he navigates the political and the personal of FDR's extraordinary life.
