FABLE OF THE FISH

Synopsis

Lina and Miguel are a poor couple. In order to make ends meet, they have little choice but to join the local scavengers digging through a garbage dump. Lina dreams of becoming a mother, despite Miguel's lack of enthusiasm and her advanced age. Somewhat miraculously, her wishes are granted and she falls pregnant. She gives birth in her house, in the middle of a storm, to a fish. Lina's love for her offspring, as well as her marriage to Miguel, are tested by the strange and surreal moments that surround them.
