Bernardo Bertolucci

Bernardo Bertolucci is one of the pre-eminent international directors of the latter half of the 20th century. He is also a write of great repute, winning the Premio Viareggio (one of Italy's top literary awards) for his first book, In Search of Mystery. His filmography includes BEFORE THE REVOLUTION (1965), THE CONFORMIST (1970), LAST TANGO IN PARIS (1972), NOVECENTO (1976) and THE LAST EMPEROR (1997) which won nine Academy Awards including Best Picture and Best Director.
