Akram Hidou (born Kurdish Syria, 1973) migrated to Germany in 1995, where he embarked on a career in digital media design. He completed a course in Cinema Direction at the Ruhr-Academy of Arts. Currently living in Berlin, he works as an independent film-maker, cinematographer and producer. Hidou’s film credits include the short films ‘Déjà-vu’ (2004) and ‘Ubi bene ibi patria’ (2001).
