Rashed Masharawi
Rashed Mashrawi (born 1962, Gaza Beach camp) is one of the first film-makers to produce films from inside the Occupied Territories. He has made numerous experimental, documentary and feature films. PASSPORT (1986) was his debut film. His debut feature film was CURFEW (1993), followed by HAIFA (1996), TICKET TO JERUSALEM (2002). His fifth feature LAILA’S BIRTHDAY (2008) won nine international awards.
