Tsai Ming Liang

Tsai Ming Liang (born 1957, Malaysia) is one of the most prominent film directors of the New Taiwan Cinema movement. In 1994, his film VIVE L’AMOUR won the Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival, establishing him in the world of international cinema. His feature films include: THE RIVER (1997), THE HOLE (1998), GOOD BYE, DRAGON INN (2003), THE WAYWARD CLOUD (2005) and VISAGE (2009).
