Philippe Aractingi

Philippe Aractingi (born 1964, Lebanon) has made over 40 international films. After 12 years in France, he returned to Lebanon to make BOSTA (screened at DIFF 2005), the country’s first post-war musical that was a huge success in Lebanon and throughout the Arab world. His film UNDER THE BOMB (2007) screened at DIFF, winning the Gold Muhr (Arab feature segment) and Best Actress awards. Both his films represented Lebanon at the Academy Awards.
