DIFF, IWC Schaffhausen host Dubai Cares & Oxfam charity gala tonight

The Dubai International Film Festival and luxury Swiss watch manufacturer IWC Schaffhausen will host ‘One Night to Change Lives’, a black-tie charity event tonight under the patronage of UN Messenger of Peace HRH Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein, wife of HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice- President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
All proceeds from the gala dinner and charity auction at the Armani Hotel will be donated to UAE-based philanthropic organisation Dubai Cares and global development and aid agency, Oxfam. Money raised will benefit communities and individuals around the world, including the Middle East, Asia and Africa.
Tonight’s auction includes a number of covetable lots, including a yoga class with Alec Baldwin in New York, an IWC-manufactured Portuguese Tourbillon Hand-Wound wristwatch, a painting by the Emirati artist Mattar Bin Lahej and Pablo Picasso’s ‘Bacchanel au Taureau’ (linoleum cut).
Celebrities attending the charity gala include supermodel Helena Christensen, Owen Wilson and singer Ronan Keating, who will perform at the event.
