Heralding its celebration of excellence in African cinema, the Dubai International Film Festival will honour veteran filmmaker Souleymane Cissé with the Lifetime Achievement Award this year.
As part of its mandate to develop the local and regional film industry, the Dubai International Film Festival is opening its doors to film students in the UAE and across the region, providing them with a host of special privileges during its seventh edition from December 12 to 19, 2010.
The seventh edition of the Dubai International Film Festival will showcase the best of Mexican cinema as a tribute to the nation’s bicentennial, DIFF announced today. The move marks the first large-scale debut of its kind for Latin American cinema in the region.
